Entry Creation

All entries must be original work created by a Queensland designer, photographer, videographer or website designer for Queensland artists/bands  during period 1st January 2015 – 31st December 2015 and must have been created for a real client.

Amount of Entries

You are able to enter as many categories as you wish. Only three (3) entries allowed per category. Any submissions over the first 3 entries will be excluded from judging.

Entry Fee

$10.00 processing fee for your first entry in any category  A further $5.00 each for up to two extra entries for that category.

Age Restrictions

There are no age restrictions for the QMDA, however the work has to have been done on a commercial basis, i.e., for a real client.

Entry Deadline

To be eligible all entries must be submitted by the submission deadline and must follow the procedures for submission. The deadline for 2016 is COB Friday 29th January 2016.

Music Video

Music Video is defined as a video of a song. Release of the video (not necessarily when the video was shot) must fall within the aforementioned time frame.

Cover Art

Entries must be created exclusively for music, promotion or a compilation project which has been released within the aforementioned time frame. The artwork can be for a CD, digital product, or vinyl.

Poster Art

Must be created for an artist, band, music festival, music venue or music business to promote an event or activity that occurred within the aforementioned time frame.

Studio Photography

Must have as it’s primary subject matter the music artist, must be a studio or posed shot on location (as opposed to a live shot) and has been released within the aforementioned time frame.
Any publicity photo for media promotion or photo taken for use on a product (i.e. cover art, t-shirt) can enter this category.

Live Photography

Must have as it’s primary subject matter the music artist, must be taken at a gig or other live event and has been released within the aforementioned time frame.

Merchandise

Any individual article or packaged articles of merchandise (t-shirt, hat, mug, bumper sticker, kazoo, etc.) created exclusively for the band, release or event being promoted.
Bands/artists, festivals and music businesses can enter this category.

Website

Must have been created for an artist, band, music festival, music venue or music business (management, agent, etc) within the aforementioned time frame.
